Do men think of food more than nookie?

By Ash

Contrary to popular belief, food dominates the average man’s thoughts more frequently than nookie, according to our recent of survey of 1,312 men aged 18-35.

Respondents to the survey were asked the question, “How often do you think about food each day?” They were then asked to choose from multiple choice answers.  The average male admitted to considering food once every 5 minutes.  In contrast, when asked the same question about sex, the average amount of time that the men spent thinking about getting jiggy appeared as once in every 7 minutes.

The study then delved deeper into what it is about food that men spend their time pondering.  72% of the respondents claimed to spend ‘up to two hours a day’ thinking of and talking about food whilst 35% claimed to spend ‘up to an hour’ procrastinating at work talking about and thinking of food.  64% of men polled also labelled food as the most important aspect of their day, in contrast to only 24% who voted sex in the same spot.

When asked the question, “Would you rather go without food for a day, or getting jiggy for a week?” 68% of the male respondents answered ‘getting jiggy for a week;’ the main reason for two thirds being the fact that they get ‘too hungry’ to go without for a day.
