Is love really in the air?
The results of our recent Valentine’s love quiz are in and its official - love is most certainly in the air! We asked about your attitude to Valentine’s Day is, and 64% of guys and 61% of girls said ‘Good excuse to get cosy with the other half’ and a further 10% of both sexes went as far as sayings it ‘My favourite night of the year – I am so in lurve!’ (somebody pass us a bucket).
Forget overpriced restaurants with limited set menus and rapid table turning, over half of Just- Eaters are planning to stay at home with a takeaway and a bottle of wine this year. The cuisine of choice for a night of love? Turns out Just-Eaters aren’t a fussy bunch, 46% of guys said that any takeaway food gets them in the romantic mood and 38% of girls agreed. Of those who were a bit more picky, it’s Chinese food that gets you in the romantic mood - this year, what could be better than combining Valentine’s Day and the Start of the Chinese New Year with a delicious Chinese takeaway?
So we had to ask… what eating habit turns you off the most? The biggest turn off for guys was girls chewing with their mouth open (34%) followed by Helping herself to your food (20%). Girls also complained about their dates chewing with their mouths open (40%), followed by Trumping (20%)!
The candles are lit, presents are being exchanged and the wine is flowing. What thoughts are running through your mind? A nauseating 39% of guys and 41% of girls are thinking about ‘how much I love my other half’. A rather unsurprising 49% of guys are thinking ‘Mustn’t over stuff myself – we need to get jiggy wid it soon’. However for some Just-Eaters love just isn’t in the air – 5% of guys and 8% of girls will be thinking ‘Hope I’m with someone else next year’.
And for the 14% of male and 18% of female respondants who replied with ‘ I have no partner. Thanks for reminding me every 10 minutes.’ why not treat yourself to a delicious takeaway of your choice and be grateful you don’t have a partner snatching your food of your plate…
