Move over, Italy – Poland has taken the title for the world’s largest takeaway pizza.
The Guinness World Record verified pie was created in Krakow on Sunday and measured in at 1.1km long (over ½ a mile long), smashing the record of 405 metres held by Tuscany since 2007. It look 3 ½ tonnes of flour, 1,500 litres of tomato sauce and 1,600 kilos of mozzarella cheese to make this ultimate pizza feast.

Despite their love of a scorchingly hot takeaway curry – it would appear the Americans have temporarily overtaken Britian in the World’s Hottest Curry crown.
The Brick Lane Curry House in New York’s Manhattan has thrown down the spice gauntlet, creating a punishing takeaway curry concoction of 10 of the world’s spiciest chillies. This includes the eye-watering bhut jolokia, a chilli pepper the Indian military is using in their famed “curry hand grenade” — a spice bomb, packed with a potent mix of red chili and pepper used to stun and debilitate militants during counter-insurgency operations. In fact, while creating this hellish curry, the cooks have to wear both gas masks to avoid breathing in the fumes.
